Ketan Ranga lists the films Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara: The film is directed by a nine-time National Award winner Jahnu Barua and stars Anupam Kher, Urmila Matondkar, Boman Irani, Parvin Dabbas, Vishwaas Pandya, Prem Chopra and Waheeda Rehman. While no one plays Gandhi, the story is based on a retired professor who loses his memory and feels hes killed the Mahatma. Kher is producing the movie and is essaying the role of the retired professor. The film will be released on September 30.

Mumbai, March 22 : Veteran actor Dev Anand is unhappy with the current trend of revisiting old classics in Bollywood and says no one can remake his "Guide"."I was a little touchy when I heard about it... because our film Guide touched the spiritual heights, which werent there even in the novel... They are such intelligent people. They dont need to fall back on remakes," the evergreen Dev Anand told in an interview about reports that Rituparno Ghosh and Pritish Nandy were planning to remake the film.The 1965 film, which was based on R.K. Narayans novel, starred the legendary actor and Waheeda Rehman and is considered one of the most remarkable films of Indian cinema.The actor feels it is more challenging to find a new idea than to take inspiration from old movies. "I personally feel its a great challenge to find a new idea and venture into the unknown. If the idea works it stays alive for at least 50 years."Excerpts:

The film is slated to release later this year. I still remember my late grandfather once telling me how big a fan of Waheedajis he was! He had seen some of her films more than a dozen times just to catch a glimpse of her. Obviously, being in the same frame as her was an honour.
