Mumbai, Dec 23 : The shooting of Rajshri Productions latest venture "Vivah", starring Shahid Kapur and Amrita Rao, has begun in full swing. The film also has Anupam Kher, Aloknath, Seema Biswas, Samir Soni, Lata Sabharwal, Manoj Joshi, Amrita Prakash, Dinesh Lamba and Master Amey Pandya among others."I am happy all my actors and technicians are giving me their very best," says director Sooraj Barjatya. The film is being produced by Kamal Kumar, Rajkumar and Ajit Kumar Barjatya. Story-screenplay-direction is by Sooraj Barjatya and lyrics and music are by Rajshris old favourite Ravindra Jain.

Star director V V Vinayak is giving final touches to the script to his new film with hero Prabhas. The film is to be produced by M Ravindranath Reddy. It is reliably learnt that Vinayak is seriously considering naming the film as Basava.

Saif Ali Khan was recently part of the group that performed at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. And he certainly left his stamp! The Australian authorities have launched a postal stamp featuring the actor. The 50-cent stamp bears an image of Saif performing at the Games. Some other stamps featuring personalities like Rabindranath Tagore, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Satyajit Ray have also been released.

The latest movie that is being planned for a Diwali 2006 release is Sooraj Barjatyas Vivaah, starring Shahid Kapur, Amrita Rao, Sameer Soni, Anupam Kher, Alok Nath and Seema Biswas. A long schedule of the movie is already over in Bombays Film City and plans are underway for a 20-day shooting in Nainital and Almora districts of Uttaranchal.

Young hero Raja has signed another film. A Washington based newly floated production company, Manoranjan Movies Inc. is producing a new film with hero Raja in the lead role. Announcing it to the media today May 17, 2006, Raja said he is glad doing another NRIs film after the success of Vennela. "I wish these producers get much bigger success than the Vennelas," he said. Sanjay Dutt and Kumar Gaurav will soon be coming together to produce a film, directed by Milan Luthria. What will make this film more special is that with it, the duo will be reviving the banners of their fathers, i.e. Sunil Dutts Ajanta Arts and Rajendra Kumars Aryan Films, respectively. There is a lot of sentimental value attached to the revival of the banners. In the past, major hits were produced under it. Kumar Gaurav will be looking at the production aspects of the film.
