After Bollywood actress Nagma, who was seen in Panditji Batai Na Biyah Kab Hoyee, another Bollywood star is turning to Bhojpuri films.

Mumbai, Nov 22 : For many years now, Bollywood actors have been migrating to the south for better career prospects. Many actors and, more so, actresses have been dabbling regularly in south Indian flicks. Some of the female stars who could not make it big in Hindi have made the southern film industry their permanent abode. Nagma, Bhumika Chawla and Madhu are the most prominent examples. But even established heroines like Raveena Tandon, Urmila Matondkar, Manisha Koirala and Shilpa Shetty have featured in south Indian movies on and off.

After Bollywood actress Nagma, who was seen in Panditji Batai Na Biyah Kab Hoyee, another Bollywood star is turning to Bhojpuri films. This time, it is none other than Ajay Devgan, who has left everyone stunned by signing a Bhojpuri film, Dharti Kahe Pukaar Ke, produced by Nirmal Jani. Ajay said that his role in the film was just a special appearance, for which he would just require a day. In fact, he is not charging the producer a single penny for this guest appearance. The lead actor of the film in question is Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari.

Hindi films have a huge fan following, not only in India, but overseas as well. However, many people are not aware of the fact that even regional films have a huge market. Especially Bhojpuri films which have a huge following in UP and Bihar. We were quite surprised to hear that superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini will be making a guest appearance in a Bhojpuri film. The film also stars Nagma. Well is it surprising to know that Hema Malini will be part of a Bhojpuri film This will be something new for her. Coming back to Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini will also be seen in B R Chopras eagerly awaited Babul, scheduled for a May release.

The shooting for veteran actress Saira Banus first film as a producer will commence on December 16th in Rajpipla, Gujarat. A Bhojpuri film titled Ab To Banja Sajanva Hamaar, it is being made under the banner of Prime Focus. It stars Ravi Kissen and Nagma and is being directed by Arshad Khan. Ten songs for the film have already been recorded.

Filmstar Govinda was the chief guest at the residence of the spian Dilip Kumar, where a party for the Bhojpuri film Ab To Ban Ja Sajanwa Hamar was hosted. The films hero is Ravi Kishan, while the heroine is Nagma. The film has been produced by Saira Banu.

ASA Productions and Enterprises Ltds 1920 the latest venture by Director Vikram Bhatt had its magnificent Coffee Table Book launched recently at JW Marriott in style!! The highlight of the fun filled soirée hosted by Surendra Sharma of ASA Productions and Enterprises Pvt Ltd was the launch of the book by Adnan Sami, Music director of 1920, amidst a lot of fanfare. The beautifully crafted coffee table book has been designed by Atmanand Studio Link to the theme of the film and gives the reader a feel of an era gone by.  Also present with their full fledged support were Director Vikram Bhatt, Producers Surendra Sharma, Amita Bishnoi, Bhagwanti Gabrani from ASA Productions and Enterprises Pvt Ltd, the debutants of the film, main leads Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma, actress Anjori Alagh, Raj Zutshi, Vipin Sharma, Vallab Vyas, Amin Haji, Ashish Pradhan, Smita Hai, Rushitaa Pandyaas as well as the entire unit of 1920. Bollywood came out in full force to show their solidarity to Vikram Bhatt. Mahima Chaudhary and sister Manjari made a cute pair. Nagma was seen on the circuit after quite a gap. Koel Purie and Nauheed Cyrusi gave each other company and enjoyed posing for the photographs. Dino Morea made a quick appearance and left. Aashish Chowdhry, Vidya Malvade, Shahwar Ali, Kailash Kher, Bali Brahmabhatt, Kunal Ganjawala and Gayatri Iyer were also present. The TV brigade was represented by Indraneil Sengupta and wife Barkha Bisht, Shehzad, Bakul, Sudesh Behri, Dilip Thandeshwar. Naseem Sidiqui, surrounded by security, also graced the event.
