And I was completely bowled over by its lucid yet sparse emotionalism as two incompatible men, played brilliantly by director Mahadevan and Sourabh Shukla, struggled for life and breadth in the ICU."Staying Alive" is a film that makes you thankful for the gift of life... and cinema.In comparison, the other films this weekend were so fake! Especially Tanuja Chandras "Film Star" which got a first-time premiere on Sahara on Friday night.I must admit Im very angry with Tanuja. How could the maker of "Dushman", "Sangharsh" and "Sur" flawed but commendable for their originality of vision make such ersatz tripe! Supposedly an insiders look at the sham and shindig of showbiz and barring "Kagaz Ke Phool" we all know how these films-on-film function!, "Film Star" had Mahima Chowdhary hamming away dangerously as a hysterical fast-fading superstar wishful shrinking who cannibalises a battered wifes Vasundhara Das life to resurrect her career.

Sujoy Ghoshs movie Home Delivery is like a beautiful package empty inside. Too much emphasis has been given on a stylized presentation of the story rather than ensuring a good script in the first place.Starring Vivek Oberoi , Ayesha Takia , Mahima Chaudhary and Boman Irani , the movie hardly passes off even as a light hearted entertainer. The intended humour simply falls flat and most of the characters in the movie end up looking as mere caricatures.

Now, we learn that another actor Ashish Chaudhary is marrying with his long-time model friend Shamita Bangarghi. Ashish who has acted in Fight Club, Members Only is tying the knot with Shamita on January 27th. The wedding ceremony will be a long affair beginning with the January 25th bash and ending on January 29th with a brunch for friends and relatives. When asked about Shamita, Ashish became sentimental and quipped, "We first met while playing hosts for Walt Disney and talked with Mickey and Donald. Since then we have been friends for ten years. Later, I proposed to her, and after some time she accepted it. During these ten years of our friendship, we have found each other complementary in life. While she has been cheering me up during the time of depression, I have always been encouraging her in her modeling profession." Who is lucky Ashish smiles and says, "I am indeed to have her."

Shweta Menon who shot to fame through her item number in Indra Kumars Ishq didnt meet success in Hindi movies even after her doing Bandini, Shikari, Anarth, Ashoka, Market and Maqbool. So, she shifted to southern movies, and bagged seven Tamil and Telugu movies; some of them turned hits. However, she is wanting to come back to Bollywood. Luckily, she will soon be seen in Ajay Chandok-directed Kisse Pyaar Karoon as one of its three heroines though; others being Aarti Chhabaria and Udita Goswami. Among the heroes are Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chaudhary and Yash Tonk. When asked about her fate in it in the wake of three heroes and three heroines, Shweta says that every one has his or her important role to play in the movie.
