Madhuri Dixit fans all over can rejoice. Because the actress is all set to perform live on February 25th, after a gap of close to six years.

Two year of hiatus, and Madhuri is in India. Recently she performed at the Filmfare Awards and whew! What a performance it was. The reaction has been amazing. She says that when she was asked to perform she was a little apprehensive. Dixit was Bollywoods leading lady in the 1990s, but she slowly gave up acting after her marriage in 1999 to an Indian surgeon based in Denver, Colorado, US and the birth of her two sons. She is on a month-long vacation in India visiting her parents.

After having basked in familial bliss for years, gorgeous Madhuri Dixit is mulling a return to acting in Hindi films.

"It has to be a project which is convenient to both, producer and me, in terms of location, etc. Looking after my home and kids, I can still take time off for one movie. But it would be tough for me to come down here for the shooting. We must remember that a lot of movies from Bollywood are made in the US."Commenting upon the technological revolution in Bollywood she said films had improved a lot in the last four years and had become aesthetically better. "I look at some of my earlier films and cringe," she said in a rare interview.

Celina Jaitley, has left for a world tour with macho man Akshay Kumar and stylish guy Saif Ali Khan. Her show in Dubai is scheduled for the first week of April. Jaitley will now be sporting a whole new avatar in her world tour. Dumping her so called sexy image, she will be performing a semi classical dance. An acclaimed filmmaker wants Madhuri Dixit to play the muse and lover of the legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma in a film based on the artists life.Raja Ravi Varma, who lived from 1848 to 1906, was perhaps the first Indian painter to fuse together the Indian style of painting with that of British portrait painters in the second half of the nineteenth century when India was still under the British rule. A scion of a royal family, Varma left his royal family in Kerala, left his wife and his children, to settle in Bombay where he met a Marathi woman, Sugunabai, who posed for his paintings. Later, the two fell in love.
