Noted Bollywood actor Jeetendras nephew Abhishek Kapoor, who worked in films like Uff Yeh Mohabbat, Shikaar and Ashique Mastana, has now turned director with the-soon-to- be-released Sohail Khan starrer Aryan.

When Jeetendra went for the mahurat of Ekta Kapoors first Bhojpuri film, Ham Bal Brahmachari Tu Kanya Kunwari, it became a day to cherish for Kunal Singh, who is known as the Jeetendra of Bhojpuri film.

More than a decade ago, Sohail Khan was planning to turn director with a script that would star Jeetendras nephew Abhishek Kapoor in the lead. The project didnt materialize, Sohail made his directorial debut with AUZAAR [Salman Khan, Sanjay Kapoor], Abhishek too got launched as an actor by someone else. Now, Sohail and Abhishek team up in different roles: Sohail is the actor, Abhishek the director.

Not many must be aware of Jeetendras love for dogs. Not only does the veteran actor-producer have a couple of canines as pets but he also takes care of street dogs, numbering more than 50! Yes, Jeetu and his wife, Shobha Kapoor, have a habit of providing milk, lunch and dinner to the four-legged creatures.

Ekta Kapoor recently announced her next production Gabbar Singh - the Bhojpuri remake of all time blockbuster Sholay. Now Ektas father Jeetendra will be making his debut in a Bhojpuri film by starring in Gabbar Singh. And which is the role that he would be playing No, its not Gabbar but that of Thakur. The idea of having Jeetendra as Thakur came from the director of the film Mahesh Pandey. Pandey wanted a senior actor to play that role and since Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha have already starred in Bhojpuri Films, he thought that Jeetendra was a better option.
